| Message From Board Director Chris Sigler
Over the past three years of serving on the CLV Board, Director Chris Sigler has been surprised at what he has learned.
“It’s been a tremendous learning experience,” said Sigler. “It has really helped me to have a better understanding at what goes on at Christmas Lake Village.”
Chris works in the Dale Farm Bureau Agency as an insurance agent. Growing up in Chrisney, Chris has spent the majority of his life in Southern Indiana. Chris moved his family to CLV in 1998.
When asked why he chose to run for the board Chris noted that he didn’t run because of any noble reason. “I was in the gatehouse paying my boat rental,” said Chris. “Gail said they were having problems getting people to run for the board.” Chris has spent the last three years working to make CLV a better place to live.
“When I went in, I didn’t realize we were dealing with a half million dollar budget. I didn’t realize we had so many rules and regulations,” said Chris, who believes there are too many rules.
Ironically, Chris served as Chairman of the rules and regulation committee. “I don’t think we need all the rules,” stated Chris. “I think it is the society we live in, though. Everyone is so concerned with legalities.”
Over the three year term, Chris developed a respect for both Property Manager Mark Kroeger and the work that the board does. “The amount of balls Mark juggles is amazing. He’s doing a great job. There are a good bunch of people on the board.”
Chris advised anyone with problems to jump in and try to make a difference. “If you have a complaint, give [the board] a solution.”
Chris and wife Kathy have three children, Taylor, Lexi, and Cole.
