CORRECTION
The September newsletter article regarding a special assessment incorrectly indicates that the Board Meeting for October is on the 10th of the month. The meeting will be held, as usual, on the second Thursday which is the 9th. The meeting is at 6:00 PM (local) at the Recreation Center. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

COMMISSIONER'S SALE
OF LOTS IN
CHRISTMAS LAKE VILLAGE

These lots are currently owned by Spencer County and have been offered at tax sale previously. There is no redemption period and a Commissioner’s deed will be issued upon payment.
An online auction to be held on these dates will be accessible on e-bay. There is no minimum bid. This is a straight auction. Christmas Lake Village will allow prospective buyers to view the lots anytime prior to the end of the sale. Maps can be obtained at the gatehouse. All lots subject to sale are marked .
Assessments on these lots will not start until 2009
There are no “back” assessments, taxes, or Town vacant sewer fees immediately due. The Association will start assessments due January 1, 2009. County taxes will start from $0.00 and accrue normally. The Town’s vacant sewer fee will be charged quarterly as is typical.
Even though the lots may be purchased at an excellent, between the annual assessment, taxes, and vacant lot sewer fees, it cost about $500.00 annually to own a lot in the Village.
Owning a lot allows the member access to all amenities.
DRIVERS AND WALKERS/JOGGERS
We find it necessary to remind you that we all have to share the CLV roadways. Drivers- please watch your speed and remain alert for people along the roadways. Give as much room as you can. Walkers/joggers- please wear colors that can be seen and carry a flashlight if you are out after dark. Walk into oncoming traffic and please, if you are walking 2 or more abreast, switch to single file if a car approaches you. If you are walking down a hill, chances are the driver cannot see oncoming traffic.

A Cleaner Christmas Lake Village
Please put trash where it belongs, in your garbage cans. There are also public garbage cans throughout the village if you need. Please dont pollute our beautiful land and roads!!
Each CLV resident knows what a special place we have. Let’s remember to keep it that way.
Don’t throw trash or debris from your car. When taking trash to curb, store in container so animals cannot get to it.
Please rinse recycled items to reduce smell when utilizing recycling center.
