A message from Property Manager, Mark Kroeger
I want to update you on a few of the recent improvements, expanded services, and pending projects here in the CLV.
The Recreation Center floor has been sanded, stained and varnished. The cabinets and countertops have been replaced and a garbage disposal installed. A handicap accessible restroom will be added on the main level in the next few weeks. The lower level has been painted.
The shelter house at Holly Park is also being refurbished by replacing the roof, the cracks in the concrete filled, the restrooms upgraded, a new water line installed to support the new toilets, the wood siding replaced and a sidewalk from the parking lot to the shelter poured. Additionally, 10 new trees are being planted, and 2 or 3 new play structures for 2-5 year olds will be installed.
Currently, we are looking at installing new under road culverts in various places around the Village to help us carry water more quickly. Road ditch repair projects are also planned.
Over 100 tons of leaves were vacuumed last fall. Also, many took advantage of the branch chipping program this spring. We have a pile of various wood chips available for the asking. Both Kringle Kruncher and Jolly Chipper will resume action in the fall. Watch newsletter, marquee and website for more information.
A meeting with fishermen has been scheduled for June 20th. We need to hear what is right and wrong with CLV fishing so that we can work on making it better.
We hope these improvements will benefit each of you.
