CL Golf Course Tournament May Cause Nightmares
If you enjoy playing golf under nightmarish conditions, Christmas Lake Golf Course has the ideal golf game for you.
The “Nightmare Before Christmas” two person scramble will be played December 12th at Christmas Lake Golf Course. The course will play from the back tees with difficult pin placements to add some holiday spice.
This event will be pre-flighted based on a team handicap formula. The entry fee is $80.00 per team and includes all golf and cart fees, chili after golf, and Golf Shop certificate prizes. The event is open to all amateurs with USGA Handicaps or Golf Professionals.
Playing from challenging pin placements is not the only reason for the nightmarish title. The unpredictable weather is a factor but especially this late in the season, one never knows what to expect whether it be rain, snow or sunny and 70.
“We had a good sign up for last year’s event but we cancelled because of 6 inches of snow,” said Christmas Lake Golf Pro, Tom Nelson.

20th Festival of Lights
Open to the public Dec. 11th and 12th
5 p.m. to 9 p.m .
Refreshments will be served both Sat. and Sun. at the recreation center.
Judging will take place December 10, 5:00 p.m.
CLV residents and guests will be allowed to drive route Dec. 10, 5 p.m. — 9 p.m.

Jackie Miller submitted the winning name, Kringle Kruncher, for CLV’s leaf vacuum. Jackie received the $50 prize and the leaf vacuum received a great name!
Kringle Kruncher has been hard at work throughout the village. If you see it operating in your area, please drive slowly and give it and the workers plenty of space.
